Return & Exchange Policies
NOTE ABOUT HANDMADE QUALITY
All products made by La Maison Maslouhi are handmade; this inevitably means that no two items are exactly alike, and there may be small variations in the size, shape, color, and other aesthetic qualities of each product. The handmade quality of a product will not make it eligible for an exchange or refund. Only defects impacting the structural integrity of an item may be considered for an exchange or refund.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, we are happy to work with you to find a solution.
Returns and exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Because La Maison Maslouhi is a small business designed to provide sustainable employment opportunities for Moroccan artisans, our profit margins are minimal. Processing product returns can put us in a tough situation where we lose money.
For any exchanges/ returns to be considered:
- You must notify us within 4 days to arrange a return and refund. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund or exchange if we are notified 5 or more days from the day you received your product(s)
- The item(s) must be in the exact same condition that you received it.
- Only once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to confirm we have received the item, and we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your return.
- The buyer is responsible for the shipping costs. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning the item(s) to our shop in Athens, GA, USA, (or our workshop in Morocco, if you are an international customer) AND shipping costs that were paid (included in the total price or not) will NOT be refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
- Customized items, wholesale items, products purchased in-person (at markets, festivals, pop-ups, etc.), and rugs are not eligible for refunds. Exchanges may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- In the case where your refund/ exchange is approved, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance for the shipping of your product(s) to return. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item and are not responsible for lost items.
